Our Nelson Mandela, or Signs o' the Times

I've just been watching the great Jim Brown talking about Barack Obama on the NFL Network's Thursday Night pregame show. Paraphrasing, but he said that Obama's ability to bring people together is like only one other person in our lifetime: Nelson Mandela.

He was also asked if this will make black athlete's get more involved in politics. He chuckled, and said, "Yes." Talked about "Michael and Tiger," that they can't hide behind "being popular."

That's right: the NFL Network.
