Ozzie Guillen is a sock puppet?

It's been a tough year for ol' Ozzie.

Knuckleballer Charlie Haeger was ejected without a warning after he plunked Robinson Cano in the eighth inning following Jorge Posada's second home run of the night -- and the Yankees' 13th in the first two games of the series.

Confused and angered by plate umpire Tom Hallion's decision, Guillen pressed him for an explanation. At least Guillen wasn't ejected for a second straight night, but afterward he let his opinions fly.

''The only thing I wish is Major League Baseball looks at this kind of stuff and sees what's really going on out there,'' Guillen said. ''The umpire has the right to call anything, but you have to have a little bit of common sense about baseball to do that. I've never seen anyone try and get a point across with a knuckleball.

''You can't win. You're a baseball employee ... a baseball bitch -- at least I am.''

The New York Yankees are two back in the wild card race as Clemens takes the mound this very, very hot, humid, hazy afternoon.
