Josh Marshall has gone that extra mile to find out if Okla. Congressman Cole actually said that voting for Kerry is the equivalent to voting for Bush.

He didn't say that...exactly. But what he did say is nearly as outrageous. The right's use of the word "terrorist" is the new red baiting. They need to be called out for it in every instance. They should not be allowed to chuckle nervously and say it was a "bad joke." It's not. It's dangerous and egregious.

Oh, but of course, some on the right still are calling others "Marxists." Brad Delong and the Decembrist on idiot David Brooks, whose column yesterday (mentioned in yesterday's post) is a sure sign that the Times under Bill Keller is not healthy.
