Pete Rose made another great stride towards never entering the Hall of Fame as a member.

He seems to think somehow that claiming he bet on his own team "every single night" somehow exculpates him. That, despite his many years changing his uniform in club houses across the league in which every single one has a large sign saying that betting on baseball will result in banishment from the game.

Although we don't have proof that he only bet on the Reds -- all we have are the betting slips -- let's take him at his word. Because betting on the Reds every single night -- a team carrying a player/manager for the sole reason that he might break the all-time Hits record -- is typical of an idiot like Pete Rose.
