The Texas mafia

For once, an administration fuck up that doesn't have Dick Cheney's fingerprints on it (yet). But it is interesting the names that have popped up in the federal prosecutors firings -- Bush's most loyal Texas confidants: Rove, Miers, Gonzalez.

Miers is gone. Gonzalez appears headed for a return to "private practice." And Rove? Well, it sure would be nice if one of the myriad Senate hearings into the corruption of the administration would ask, what exactly does Karl Rove do and why are taxpayers paying for it?
