The fight for the Supreme Court is on

Oh my. It shows how far to the right the Court has moved in recent years that Sandra Day O'Connor is termed a "moderate," but there you have it. It sets up what should prove to be a bitter fight on the Senate floor. If it had been Rehnquist, the balance of the court would not be affected, but I have strong doubts that the "Uniter, Not a Divider," will turn to someone to the left of Clarence Thomas.
