"Questions center around who won first debate"

From FoxNews:

(10/1/04) — Democrat John Kerry and Republican George Bush head back to the campaign trail today — each will be trying to convince voters that they won last night. There were no surprises in their first debate. Bush said "the world is safer without Saddam Hussein." Kerry said ordering a warin Iraq was a "colossal error in judgment."

Three post-debate polls suggested Kerry did better than Bush. Such instant polls reflect the views of debate watchers and not necessarily the public at large. Initial reactions to a debate can change after a few days have passed. Interest in the race is also high in Asia where Japan, South Korea, Singapore and others support the U.S. policy in Iraq. Direct government reaction had been muted, however, with most officials saying the race is a matter for the U.S. people to decide.

The war on reality goes on unabated. The incoherence of this spin underscores how shocked they are by just how badly Bush performed.

Also, I understand George appeared with Nelson after the debate and said, "What can I say, Call Kerry my daddy."
