Limiting Jeter?

I think the prospect of making Jeter a Yankee for life by giving him an ownership stake is an interesting idea, but it doesn't make the issue of whether the Yankees will be forced to overpay for his remaining player years. As for Jeter, he should keep in mind what John McMullen once said: "There's nothing so limited as being a limited partner of George Steinbrenner."
