Because every state needs one
What a remarkable piece of reporting. Thousands of words on the potential candidates for governor of California, and not a word on what any of them propose to do about California's many crises. The implication seemed to be that it doesn't matter who's governor with a state legislature that is referred to as The Taliban in the article.
That said, the photography, with many of the candidates poised in front of one magnificent California scene after another, is pretty remarkable. Benighted candidates in a beautiful state.
When I was a kid growing up in California I was a huge fan of Jerry Brown. For my money he remains the most appetizing choice.
