Blaming...the perpetrators

Unlike Kevin Drum, I don't have sympathy for Max Boot's point of view, and agree whole heartedly with Arianna Huffington. Now is exactly the time to pursue just how unprepared the federal government was for dealing with Katrina. Just how badly the Bush administration is at, you know, actually governing. It is always better to investigate a crime scene when it is fresh. It is always better to expose a government scandal when citizens are still angry about it. And it is always better to blame the perpetrators while they're holding the smoking guns, before they toss them into the Gulf of Mexico.
