Spam-a-lot

Okay, I'm almost ready to wave the white flag. I am getting really tired of all the obvious spam (or "blam" or "splog," as the highly desirable and yet down-to-earth Madame Cura suggested) hijacking the comments section of this tired, old blog.

I see "Anonymous" pop up in my email (comments are sent to my email as well as to the comments section...no longer), and I think, "Oh, look, a precious message in a bottle from one of my Dear Readers."

And then it reads (I won't put the links in),

Argh. Is this some sort of bot, or, as another of the comments promised, the efforts of people making "fabulous money working at home. Just be owning a computer!"?

Anyway, hope not to shut down the comments, 'cause occasionally one of you smart and insightful people actually leave a legitimate, non-commercial one. But this is annoying.
