I've wondered about this as well. For the past two days we've had to suffer under a blizzard of outrage over the Mark Felt/Deep Throat revelation. And who has been so outraged over his "treason?" Why, the incompetent blow-hards who orchestrated the Watergate break-in and key figures in the cover-up.

The fact that the mainstream TV media would rush to get the reaction from CREEPs like Colson and Liddy (and, of course, the irrepressible Buchanan), without getting similar reactions from those who investigated Nixon, like Hillary Rodham Clinton and Elizabeth Holtzman is simply depressing, indicating who controls the debate on TV these days. It's like getting a reaction to Elliot Ness from Al Capone.
