The New York Times cracks itself up
From the Bummer herself:
Har, har, har. That's purty funny. Especially considerin' that the New York Times was all set to run a story on that "if it ever existed secret transmitter." It reported on the analysis of a NASA scientist who had done a careful study of the graphic evidence and decided that, yes, our preznit was wired for sound during the first debate with John Kerry. And it was all set to go in the week leading up to the election in November. But the paper's editors spiked it, fearing it would affect the outcome of the election.
Good grief.
President Bush concluded a recent news conference in a White House press briefing room so sweltering that his secret transmitter, if it ever existed, would have been setting off sparks.
