Purple haze

We're seeing maps in all the papers today that would indicate that the Red States represent nearly all of Jesusland...er...the U.S., while we Blue Staters are a small, embattled minority clutching the coastline with our fingernails.

It's not quite so stark. Via Tapped, here's an interesting map that illustrates, county by county, that not only are Red States not quite as red as the freepers would like to argue, but that even counties that went for Bush are more evenly divided than you'd think.
