So that's the October surprise

Sinclair Broadcasting -- the right wing-run cable company which, you may recall, forced its stations to preempt the Nightline program in which the names of the dead in Iraq were to be read -- is planning to order its stations to preempt prime time programing next week to run "Stolen Honor," a film that is basically a Swift Boat Captains for Lies attack on Kerry.

More to come on this, I'm sure. But, in the meantime, Atrios reminds us of the moral greatness of David Smith, who runs this publicly-traded company.

CORRECTION/UPDATE: I believe they are planning to air the program the week before the election, not next week as posted above.
