Howard Stern's army
I find myself listening to Stern a lot lately. For one thing, he's a lot funnier than NPR's "Morning Edition" and its "political commentators," alias "hacks," Cokie Roberts and Juan Williams.
Secondly, he has been unmerciful in his attacks on the the FCC's attacks on him and Bush's attack of Iraq. He's spent the past week insisting that his listeners go see Farenheit 911 (for which Krugman had one of the more insightful takes I've seen thus far) and you can bet he'll encouraging them to vote for Kerry in November.
Eight to ten million listeners, and this poll was done in May.
It would be interesting to see what his carriage is in the battleground states (I do know that he's back on the air in Pittsburgh after the Clear Channel affiliate had cancelled the show earlier in the year).
