One of the most underrated lyricists of his time, Robert Hunter

RIP

Is it a coincidence that he passed, peacefully, while Burns' Country Music doc has been blowing people's mind the past week?

Or was it just appropriate to coincide with the news broke today?

And the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom, and decay

Any day now

I'm going where those chilly winds don't blow

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile

Death don't have no mercy

The civil rights movement needed musical relief
