Once again, the most influential baseball executive since Branch Rickey is not in the Hall of Fame. Simply inexplicable. Five voters on the Veterans "Execs and Pioneers" committee didn't think Marvin Miller, whose organizing work led to the end of the reserve clause and the start of free agency, mattered enough. Bizarre.
