Surgeon General is not exactly a Cabinet position (and I think the uni is optional), and perhaps Sanjay Gupta will prove an effective, telegenic proponent of Obama's health care proposals, but just as his "fact checking" of Moore's "Sicko" last year was an embarrassment, his views on marijuana seem more informed by U.S. government propaganda than by, ya know, science.
