A prediction and a memory

Soon, very soon, I predict some columnist or pundit will loudly bemoan the fact that there has been no outrage within the Obamasotted "netroots" over the pres-elect's pragmatic, competent Cabinet choices.

Speaking of which, I had forgotten that one of Bush II's first picks was John Ashcroft for AG. A man who was available for the job because he'd lost his Senate seat to a dead man. Heckuva job.
