Steve, I appreciate it, but the likelihood of McPalin "turning down the heat" is somewhere between slim and none. McCain and, it seems, much of the RNC, have become unhinged in their desperate ambition to win the White House. And Palin pays people to shoot wolves from low flying single engine planes. And wears the victims' pelts.

Fortunately, I think the Obama campaign isn't asking their opponents nicely to stop being mean.
