Contemptuous

Wow, the McCain ad, "The One," is truly something to marvel at. Surely, the McCain camp doesn't believe America has been eagerly waiting to vote for the equivalent of a bratty 12-year old with video editing software.

Seriously, I can't recall a presidential campaign where one candidate publicly showed so little respect for his opponent -- and, by extension, the millions who are supporting him. Good to know that John McCain thinks we're morons.

UPDATE: I do think Somerby's right.

Remember, once more, before you get mad: This only matters if you care who wins. If you want this to be a graduate seminar, go ahead—knock yourselves out.

I've a tendency to be outraged at McCain's insulting conduct, instead of merely laughing at his shallow attacks which show him, and not Obama, as the lightweight in this campaign. McCain's conduct is beginning to annoy his base -- the campaign press -- and McCain has shown how unattractive candidates (and their supporters) are when they whine. I think we should leave it at that, simply asking, "Is that all you got?"
