Experienced candidates

This morning, Cookie Roberts parroted a theme we're going to hear over and over: which politicians "win" and which "lose" in the aftermath of terror attacks such as the ones in Britain over the weekend? She notes that immediately after the attacks, the Giuliani campaign sent messages to news organizations that the candidate was "available for comment... as it's his big issue having been mayor of New York" during the 2001 attacks.

On the other hand, such attacks

"...could be a problem for inexperienced people like Barack Obama..."
Good God, make it stop. Giuliani's "experience" battling terraists consists of choosing the wrong building in which to place his emergency command center before the attacks and acting like...a mayor...following the attacks. His experience consists mostly of prematurely burying hundreds of firefighters and then giving pricey speeches about his "leadership."

Sheesh. We are going to be told by the elite media that "voters perceive" dems as wimpy and inexperienced when it comes to national security. And yet, other than John McCain, the republican presidential candidates are exposed to no such scrutiny. Tell me, for instance, Mitt Romney's great plan for protecting us from suicide bombers. How about tellling us what Giuliani is going to do to bring the Iraq War to a successful close? What will McCain's foreign policy be, and how will it address asymmetrical threats to our people and interests around the globe? And don't get me started on this election's village idiot candidate, the avuncular Fred Thompson.

Back from vacation.

Still pissed.
