Depths

What has been truly astounding about observing the wingnutosphere -- something I do from a distance, holding a handkerchief to my nose and mouth, and poking it carefully with a long stick, unlike Roy et. al. -- has been the exposure of just how rotten some of these people are. While those of us who are members of The Angry Left can at times be brutal in our caricatures of the many lunatics and morons on the other side of the political divide, the darkness of some of these people's public thoughts is quite shocking, even to a misanthrope like myself.

And it's not just that there are people who think it's pretty funny to make breast jokes about a woman who's battled breast cancer twice, the fact that they have absolutely no self control and no sense that to say this is WRONG is, frankly, a little terrifying.
