Armed Forces Radio

The Pentagon and the Mighty Wurlitzer, working together to ensure that Guantanamo detainees are denied any representation whatsoever.

As Atrios writes, these people don't believe in trial by jury, the right to representation, habeas corpus...what part of the Bill of Rights or the Constitution do they believe in, other than the little known part in that latter document that, literally as I understand it, makes the 43rd president the king?

And do they know nothing of the history of our country's founding?

"The Part I took in Defence of Cptn. Preston and the Soldiers, procured me Anxiety, and Obloquy enough. It was, however, one of the most gallant, generous, manly and disinterested Actions of my whole Life, and one of the best Pieces of Service I ever rendered my Country. Judgment of Death against those Soldiers would have been as foul a Stain upon this Country as the Executions of the Quakers or Witches, anciently. As the Evidence was, the Verdict of the Jury was exactly right." --John Adams

Of course, Adams and his fellow founders had long hair, so I guess they were dirty fucking hippies, too.

UPDATE: Oh yeah, I forgot, there is another part of the Constitution they believe in passionately: the Second Amendment.
