"...governing begins"
Caught part of the emperor's news conference -- the one in which he told the assembled press he'd been lying to them for weeks, announced Rumsfeld's departure and the arrival of what is probably the first of many Bush I advisors to come work for him, and asked Jim Rutenberg who he worked for ("Um, The New York Times, sir"). And in which he uttered this:
Now, I didn't hear the whole thing, but I'm willing to bet that none of the great minds of the White House press corps thought to follow up by asking, "Does that mean the last six years have been one long campaign?" Or, "Does that mean Karl Rove will also be looking for a new job?"
I know when campaigns end and governing begins.
