Defending the Iraqi invasion has now gone pre-verbal

Alicublog caught on to this yesterday. That manly centrist Michael Totten defends the GWOT (which he and preznit are now alone in insisting upon; the Sect'y of Defense has, um, moved on), and responds to a Juan Cole post that dared suggest that a massive invasion of a country has not done too much to end the threat of fundamentalist extremists blowing up Western targets and the people in them. Totten, too manly for mere speech, performs said defense not with words, but with images of, well, various murderously bad things conducted by various, unrelated, bearded brown people.

While my response to senor Totten would be a succinct, yet eloquent, "Bugger off, you idiot. What do any of those images have to do with our decision to go to war in Iraq?" The Poor Man has crafted an essay so sublime, so moving, so damned smart and reasonable, that I can only conclude I am not fit to share the Blogosphere with The Editors.

Warning, however, The Editors counter Totten's straw-jpegs with images that are not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.
