Live blogging from the House Committee on Reform Pt. 2!

Rep. Davis has just announced the formation of a "Zero-Tolerance" committee, and although the final make-up of the committee has yet to be determined, he's announcing that Frank Thomas and Montague will be the first members.

Because they've been "outspoken in their opposition to steroids in professional sports."

Good lord. Today's hearings were called based on the claims -- many of them obviously spurious, some not so much, but all of them so far unsubstantiated -- of Jose Conseco's "Juiced." Now they're drawing, in the words of ESPN's Buster Olney who's supplying running commentary, "a white line" between Thomas and Schilling and the rest of the players, like Rafael Palmeiro.

Davis just called Conseco, "distinguished." Hilarious. Conseco can't even testify because he's on probation for "matters unrelated to steroids or baseball."
