Faux tears
I was slowly trying to kill myself on a treadmill at the gym this evening, experiencing the weird disconnect of watching Foxnews while listening to "Mosh," followed by The Clash. On the monitor in front of me was "Special Report with Brit Hume." On the screen was the sad spectacle of watching Brit, NPR's (and our hero) Juan Williams, and the Weekly Standard's Bill Krystol and Fred Barnes.
They were discussing how Bush's message of all terror or the time, and "freedom is on the march" did not seem to be generating much excitement out at the poles. They all looked decidedly unhappy.
That is, all except Krystol who is the only conservative pundit who behaves like the so-called liberal pundits and openly shows his contempt for the candidate he nominally supports.
