American officials reported that in the cable to Tehran, the Iranian official recounted how Mr. Chalabi had said that one of "them" — a reference to an American — had revealed the code-breaking operation, the officials said. The Iranian reported that Mr. Chalabi said the American was drunk.

The FBI is investigating who might have been close to Chalabi and had access to the highly sensitive information regarding our breaking of the Iranian codes.

Wonder who that could be?

Although the administration is clearly trying to run out the clock, if any of these investigations reach fruition we should witness some real bombshells regarding the highest ranking members of the administration and its civilian advisors.
